SpecBond 32 Cold Bonding Adhesive
TAC 250 adhesive for rubber-to-rubber, rubber-to-metal and rubber-to-fabric bonding.
Develops a strong initial bond.
Bonds rubber, metal and fabric.
20 L drums and curing agent held locally.
SpecBond 32 is TAC 250, a two-component polychloroprene contact adhesive used with SPEC 33 (IRODUR E 462) curing agent. It provides secure adhesion, heat resistance and practical open time for industrial rubber bonding applications.
Applied cold, SpecBond 32 supports workshop fabrication, plant installations and field maintenance across mining, quarrying, manufacturing, materials handling and other industrial operations.
Oreflow stocks SpecBond 32 in 20 L drums together with SPEC 33 curing agent at our Perth warehouse for local and Australia-wide supply.
SpecBond 32 is used for new installations and maintenance work where rubber needs to be bonded to prepared steel, fabric or other rubber surfaces.
Bond rubber sheets and linings to prepared steelwork.
Bond compatible lagging to prepared pulley shells.
Install rubber-backed ceramic wear lining.
Join rubber-to-fabric and fabric-to-fabric surfaces.
Bond performance depends on the complete adhesive system, correct surface preparation and controlled application timing. Review the current Technical Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet before mixing or applying SpecBond 32.
Use these values to estimate the required quantity, plan the work and select the supporting products needed for the application.

Clean, dry and correctly prepared surfaces are essential to achieving optimum bond strength.
Remove rust, oil, dust and other contamination. Sandblast metal and buff rubber where required.
Clean prepared metal with TAC 101 Contact Cleaner and apply Chemlok 205 Metal Primer. Clean prepared rubber with a suitable quick-drying petroleum-based solvent.
Mix approximately 4–7% SPEC 33 curing agent by weight. Use the mixed adhesive within two to three hours and apply two coats, allowing approximately one hour between coats.
Allow the second coat to become non-tacky, join the surfaces before the open time ends and apply firm, even pressure.
SpecBond 32 contains flammable solvents and requires appropriate PPE, ventilation, storage and handling controls. Refer to the current Safety Data Sheet for complete safety information.
