DT2S Reversing Cleaner
The Martin® DT2S Reversing Secondary Cleaner is a high-performance solution engineered to fit in narrow spaces while providing exceptional belt cleaning for conveyors that roll back or run in two directions.
The cleaner’s lean profile minimises space requirements, allowing for installation in chutes as narrow as 178 mm (7 inches).
A slide-in/slide-out blade cartridge allows for rapid and easy blade service, significantly reducing conveyor downtime during maintenance cycles.
Effective belt cleaning reduces plant cleanup chores and prolongs the service life of conveying equipment by preventing material buildup.
The Martin® DT2S Reversing Cleaner is a dedicated secondary belt cleaner designed to handle the unique stresses of reversing conveyor systems and belts prone to rollback. Built for durability and ease of access, its most distinctive feature is a split frame design; even when the cleaner is heavily encrusted with material, one-half of the frame can be removed to facilitate a fast blade change.
The system offers ultimate versatility through a range of blade options, including tungsten carbide, stainless steel, and urethane, allowing the cleaner to be perfectly matched to your specific material characteristics. When paired with Martin® Spring or Air Tensioning systems, the DT2S maintains consistent pressure against the belt, ensuring effective cleaning in both directions of travel.

The Martin® DT2S Reversing Cleaner is engineered for medium to heavy-duty applications in demanding environments, including underground and corrosive settings. It is suitable for belt widths up to 3048 mm (120 inches) and is rated for high-speed operation up to 4.6 m/s (900 fpm). The system is designed to operate reliably in extreme service temperatures ranging from -34°C to 149°C (-30°F to 300°F). It is fully compatible with mechanical splices and is a primary choice for trippers, shuttles, and reversing discharge points.
The DT2S Reversing Cleaner operates by mounting a slim-profile mainframe across the return side of the conveyor. Because the frame requires only 178 mm of clearance, it can be installed in restricted areas where traditional secondary cleaners cannot fit.
Maintenance is simplified through the slide-out cartridge system. During a service interval, the technician can slide the entire blade assembly out of the mainframe for inspection or replacement. The split-frame construction provides an additional safety and time-saving advantage, allowing access to the blades even if the conveyor structure is heavily fouled with carryback.
