Durt Hawg® DH2 Cleaner
The Martin® Durt Hawg® DH2 Cleaner provides improved cleaning efficiency through a high-volume blade designed for extended service life.
Blade replacement is exceptionally fast and easy; maintenance teams simply pound out worn blades and pound in new ones using only a hammer.
Features resilient urethane cleaning elements that absorb impact, allowing mechanical splices to pass safely without damaging the belt or the cleaner.
Constructed with rugged, one-piece moulded urethane elements designed to stand up to the most demanding industrial environments.
The Martin® Durt Hawg® DH2 Cleaner is a secondary cleaning assembly that uses high-volume blades to provide a wearable surface for extended operation. The system is built around a sturdy mainframe that supports individual, one-piece moulded urethane elements.
These resilient elements are engineered to accommodate mechanical belt splices, allowing them to pass the cleaning edge without causing damage to the belt or the cleaner. Maintenance of the unit is limited to the use of a hammer for blade changes, removing the requirement for specialised power tools or complex mounting hardware during routine service.

The Martin® Durt Hawg® DH2 Cleaner is rated for medium to heavy-duty applications on belt widths ranging from 400 mm up to 2400 mm (18 to 96 inches). It operates at belt speeds up to 3.8 m/s (750 fpm) and is compatible with temperatures between -34°C and 149°C (-30°F to 300°F).
The unit is safe for use in corrosive conditions and underground applications. It is specifically designed to accommodate mechanical splices, though it is not compatible with reversing belts or rollback conditions.
The Durt Hawg® DH2 operates by mounting steel cleaning blades into individual, resilient urethane elements. These elements act as a buffer, absorbing the force of mechanical fasteners as they pass the scraper.
To service the unit, a technician uses a hammer to pound out the worn blade segments. New blades—available in mild steel, stainless steel, or tungsten carbide—are then pounded back into the urethane elements. The unit can be tensioned using either a Martin® Twist™ Tensioner or a Spring Tensioner to maintain pressure against the belt.0
