QC1+™ Cleaner HD

The Martin® QC1+™ Cleaner HD is a patented new evolution in belt cleaner technology designed to help your operation achieve a higher level of productivity while simultaneously reducing costs. It is guaranteed to provide the highest performance and the lowest cost of ownership of any urethane pre-cleaner.

CARP TECHNOLOGY

Manufactured with Martin’s unique Constant Angle Radial Pressure (CARP) technology, its curved blade cleans the belt more effectively to minimise carryback.

STREAMLINED MANUFACTURING

A re-engineered and streamlined manufacturing process ensures faster production and a lower purchase cost for the end user.

HIGH-STRENGTH MAINFRAME

Engineered with the strongest mainframe in the industry to provide a stable and durable platform for high-performance cleaning.

Product Overview

The Martin® QC1+™ Cleaner HD represents a fundamental shift in efficiency for heavy-duty primary belt cleaning. By re-engineering the manufacturing process, Martin has reduced the initial cost to purchase while delivering a product that features the strongest mainframe in the industry.

The system utilises a patented blade design that maintains consistent contact with the belt and constant cleaning pressure as it wears, which ensures effective cleaning performance lasts longer. This extended blade life significantly reduces the overall cost of maintenance and provides a lower total cost of ownership compared to standard urethane pre-cleaners

Applications

The Martin® QC1+™ Cleaner HD is specifically engineered for primary cleaning on heavy-duty conveyor systems in demanding mining and industrial settings, including underground and corrosive environments.

This robust system is designed to operate reliably in service temperatures ranging from -34°C to 82°C and remains fully functional during reversing cycles or roll-back conditions. It provides high-efficiency cleaning for belt widths up to 2800 mm and is rated for belt speeds of up to 4.6 m/s on pulley diameters between 400 mm and 500 mm.

How the QC1+™ Cleaner HD Works

The system operates using Martin’s patented CARP technology, which ensures the curved blade maintains a consistent cleaning angle throughout its entire wear life. As the urethane blade wears down, the radial pressure remains constant, preventing the drop-off in cleaning efficiency common in standard pre-cleaners.

The heavy-duty mainframe provides the structural rigidity required to support this constant pressure, ensuring the blade remains in firm contact with the belt surface to intercept carryback even when encountering mechanical splices.

Operational Benefits

  • Underground Approved

Certified and safe for use in underground mining applications across Australia.

  • Mechanical Splice Friendly

Specifically designed to accommodate mechanical splices safely without damaging the belt or the cleaner.

  • Corrosion Resistant

Engineered to perform in highly corrosive conditions, making it ideal for harsh mineral processing environments.

  • Extended Blade Life

Patented blade design lasts longer than standard urethane blades, reducing maintenance frequency.

FAQs

A stronger mainframe prevents the cleaner from twisting or chattering under the high-pressure conditions of heavy-duty belt cleaning, ensuring more consistent contact and protecting the belt from uneven wear.

Yes. The Martin® QC1+™ Cleaner HD is specifically rated for use with reversing belts and roll-back conditions, ensuring the cleaner and belt remain safe during directional changes.

By streamlining the production of the QC1+™ HD, Martin has lowered the initial purchase price, allowing sites to implement premium primary cleaning technology at a more competitive cost.

Absolutely. The unique Constant Angle Radial Pressure (CARP) technology ensures that the blade remains at the optimal cleaning angle and maintains constant pressure throughout its entire wear cycle.
