The CleanScrape® system operates by tensioning a flexible scraper chain diagonally across the discharge pulley at a specific angle. As the belt passes over the pulley, the tungsten carbide tips integrated into the scraper matrix maintain light but consistent contact with the belt surface.
This diagonal orientation allows the cleaner to “slice” through carryback material rather than simply scraping it, which effectively diverts debris into the discharge stream with minimal friction. Because the system applies significantly less pressure than traditional cleaners, it can safely remain in contact with the belt during reversing cycles or roll-back events without the need for retraction.
